The Maldives Media and Broadcasting Commission today urged not to publish content that damages the dignity of children.

In a post published on social media, the commission stated that publishing content that damages the dignity of children is a violation of the code of conduct for broadcasters, media workers, and journalism.

Therefore, the Media Commission requested not to circulate such posts, to adhere to the code of conduct for broadcasters, media workers, and journalists, and to cooperate with the police.

While the relevant authority requested not to show content that compromises the dignity of children, an issue recently surfaced regarding photos and videos of an incident where a child fell from a building in Hulhumalé being published on social media.
