A man has been arrested for child sexual abuse of his three year old daughter, and for recording video of the abuse. 

The Police Media Official stated last night that a 28 year old Maldivian man had been arrested last Friday in relation to this case by the South Central Police.

The man was presented in court for his remand hearing on the same day and was placed in remand in custody for 30 days, police said. 

As the matter is under active investigation, no further details have been disclosed as of yet.
