Hulhumale' Hospital has today introduced care in three additional specialties. 

In a ceremony held at the hospital today, Health Minister Geela Ali inaugurated services in gastroenterology, neurology and urology. 

Minister Geela stressed that the introduction of these services would further ease accessibility to specialist care for the public. 

With the steadily increasing population of Hulhumale', demand at the only government-run hospital there has also been increasing. The public has been raising concerns about the limited range of services available at the hospital. 

The hospital has been responding to these public concerns and expanding services. As such, they recently introduced breast cancer surgery and ophthalmology services. 

The hospital is also seeking to address space constraints, with new wards and emergency room and dialysis centre expansions also undertaken.
