Hyperbaric Europe has donated a portable hyperbaric transport unit, or portable pressure chamber, to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) for use in diving emergencies.
Chief of Defence Force Major General Ibrahim Hilmy accepted the equipment on behalf of the MNDF.
The MNDF thanked Hyperbaric Europe, a manufacturer of hyperbaric equipment, for the donation.
A hyperbaric transport unit is a portable pressure chamber used to transport divers who suffer injuries or illness during diving emergencies. The equipment can provide critical treatment while an injured diver is being transported to a medical facility.
