Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) has said that two students are being treated out of the children who contracted food poisoning at the Feydhoo School Cadet Camp.

A senior official with knowledge of the matter stated that a total of 24 students were treated for food poisoning. This includes 12 students admitted and receiving treatment at Feydhoo Health Centre and 12 at Maradhoo Health Centre.

Some students have been transferred to AEH since.

A senior official with knowledge of the matter told Mihaaru News that two students are being treated at AEH out of those who contracted food poisoning and that their conditions are stable.

The official went on to say that the rest of the students have been discharged from the hospital as their conditions have improved.

It is unclear as to what caused the food poisoning.

"We do not know what caused the food poisoning. Police have taken samples and are conducting tests," said the official.

Sources state that Buruzu Catering Services provided the food to the camp.

The Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) have begun investigating the matter.

Although this round of cadet camps concluded yesterday at some schools, it is being conducted for three days at most schools. The final day of the camp is today.
