Four people were injured in a gas cylinder explosion and subsequent fire at a house in Male' early this morning, with two of them in serious condition, police said.
Police said the gas cylinder exploded and the fire was reported at G. Dhoogasge at 5:27am.
The four injured people are two Bangladeshi and two Indian nationals. They are being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). Two are in serious condition, police said.

Police did not provide details of their injuries.
The fire has since been brought under control, police said.
The building, a 5 room residence occupied by 15 people, was damaged in the fire. A wall collapsed onto the building's water meter, causing pipes to burst and water to leak throughout the building.
Police are investigating the incident.
