Over 2,000 businesses have registered on the "Agumagu Portal," established by the government to facilitate tracking product prices.
In a post on X today, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed stated that 2,224 businesses have registered on the Agumagu Portal, while the number of daily users on the portal has now reached 2,724. He added that the number of app downloads has surpassed 3,300.
"The usage of (Agumagu Portal) as a reliable and useful platform is increasing across the Maldives," Saeed said.
Introduced last February, the purpose of the Agumagu Portal is to establish an arrangement through which prices of essential commodities can easily be monitored.
Although only product prices available from shops in Malé were shown when the portal was first introduced, the service has now been expanded alongside a mobile application.
