The Police announced today that they are seeking vehicles to increase towing capacity in the Malé area.

The police announced the procurement of a forklift and a power gate pickup.

In an announcement made by the Maldives Police Service, it was stated that bids are open to interested parties to procure the necessary vehicles to increase towing capacity in the Malé area.

The bid security or guarantee for this project is MVR 43,160.

Those wishing to participate in the bid must complete the bid registration form and email it. The agency stated that registration in the bid should be confirmed upon receiving the registration number.

The deadline to register for the bid is 12:00 next Thursday. Any forms received after the deadline provided for bid registration will not be accepted.

The announcement stated that the pre-bid meeting for this project will take place on the 30th August at 2:30pm. The opening of bids will take place on September 3 at Iskandharu Koshi.

Police stated that if there is an ongoing case involving the bidding party or company in any court of law in Maldives, or if a case has been proven against them in the past five years, police retain the discretion not to award the bid.

The bid will be rejected if required documents, such as the price proposal form or quotation, the bidding company's profile, a copy of the business registration certificate, and the original bid security document, are not submitted along with the bid. 

While an announcement has been made to procure vehicles to increase police towing capacity, vehicles parked in violation of regulations are currently towed from time to time.
