Civil Court Judge Abdulla Ihusan has been suspended in connection with an ongoing investigation regarding a case concerning him.

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) stated that based on the nature of the case being investigated regarding Ihusan and the information obtained so far, and grounded on the principle of maintaining trust in the judiciary, he has been suspended until the Commission determines a specific outcome.

According to JSC, the decision to temporarily relieve him of his official duties for 60 days starting today was made at the Commission's meeting held today.

While Judge Ihusan has been suspended, a large number of members from Lagoons Sports Club have raised questions and expressed concern over the Civil Court's handling of cases filed against the club, submitting a letter to the JSC.

In the letter, dissatisfaction was expressed claiming that the order issued against the club was issued without obtaining any information from any party, with Judge Ihusan having issued that order.
