Applications have been opened to participate in the International Teachers' Conference.

The Teachers' Conference is an initiative launched in 2012 by the National Institute of Education (NIE) with the goal of establishing a research culture among teachers and technical professionals working in the education sector.

Held biennially, this year's conference will take place on the 12th and 13th of next month at Shaheed Ali School in Hulhumalé.

The theme dedicated to this year's conference is "Reimage, Rethink, Reform: Advancing Innovation for an Equitable and Resilient Future."

The opportunity to participate in the conference is open to Maldivian and foreign teachers, school leaders, as well as technical professionals in the education sector.

The deadline to register for the conference is the 29th of this month. Forms are to be submitted via the link.

NIE stated that participants of the conference will present over 60 research papers, and the event will feature four workshops, two panel discussions, and two keynote sessions.

Discussions at the conference will focus on various topics related to inclusive education, as well as methods to teach in ways that engage students.

Furthermore, NIE mentioned that topics such as key considerations when integrating modern technology into teaching, alongside various modern education fields like coding and robotics, will also be discussed.

According to NIE, these internationally held conferences provide an opportunity for education sector personnel to discuss challenges faced in the field and potential solutions, enabling teachers to exchange ideas on ways to further improve teaching practices.
