The Hajj Corporation has increased the price of their Ramadan Umrah pilgrimage package.
As per the package that was announced by the corporation, the price of the Umrah pilgrimage for the entirety of Ramadan is MVR 55,965. The package includes the six days of fasting during the month of Shawwal while staying in Makkah. The price for the six days of fasting in Shawwal and the last 15 days of Ramadan is MVR 50,965.
The package for Ramadan from Hajj Corporation this year was MVR 48,969. And the package for the last 15 days of Ramadan was MVR 45,965.
A senior official from the corporation told Mihaaru News that the quality of services being provided for Umrah pilgrims are being raised year after year and that new additions are being introduced.
According to the official, as there are certain standards that have been predetermined for Hajj Corporation's services, none of their services will see a drop in standard. The official also said that while the price of goods on the world market is on the rise, the cost of services will see an increase as well.
The official went on to say that the corporation provides medical services at a hospital level via a clinic that has been established at the hotel that Umrah pilgrims will be staying at. The official said that the clinic has Maldivian doctors and nurses, and the clinic will allow convenient medical treatment for any sort of health conditions and situations faced by the pilgrims.
The official continued by stating that the stopover period in Madina has been increased to four days. Such changes have been brought about so that Umrah pilgrims can visit historic and holy sites, seek out information and take full advantage of their pilgrimage.
While Umrah pilgrimages during Ramadan have seen a price hike, Hajj Corporation said that payment for the Umrah pilgrimage needs to be made before 19th December 2026, 1:00 pm.
The Hajj Corporation's services include three Umrah pilgrimages with an additional Umrah pilgrimage, arrangements to stay at a quality hotel with affordable private rooms, an Umrah visa, two-way flight tickets, making the trip to Madina via the Haramain High-speed railway, Ziyarat tours to Makkah and Madina, and a three-night stay at Madina.
An Umrah kit, sermons and instructions from religious scholars and Umrah training meetings are included, said Hajj Corporation.
