Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has officially launched its Aviation Institute of Maldives (AIM) and presented certificates to the institute's first graduates.

The ceremony, held in the ballroom of the Hulhulé Island Hotel (HIH), was graced by the Chancellor of the Maldives National University, Dr. Mahmood Shaugee, who officially inaugurated the institute.

MACL's CEO and Managing Director, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, alongside senior executives of the company, attended the ceremony.

Shareef presented the certificates to the graduating students. Meanwhile, special awards were presented to the top-performing students by Mahmood Shaugee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Shareef stated that the purpose of AIM is to build skilled professionals needed for the aviation sector in the Maldives.

He also noted that the institute represents MACL's long-term vision to train the skilled workforce required for airports.

Chancellor Dr. Mahmood Shaugee stated that MACL is doing praiseworthy work to build an educated and skilled working generation in the Maldives.

At the ceremony, 29 students completed the Airport Security Management Course and received their certificates. This is a Certificate Level 3 course designed in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework, meeting the standards of the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA).

The course, which was conducted from June through September of last year, is a course specifically designed to train new staff joining MACL's Estate Security Service.

This program is part of ongoing efforts to further strengthen the safety and security of passengers traveling through the airport.
