StatePharma has signed an agreement with a world-renowned company to import medication to Maldives.
The signing ceremony was held at StatePharma's office, with the project to conveniently provide quality medication to all regions of Maldives being awarded to Healthcare Pharmaceutical Limited (HPL).
The agreement will facilitate continuous quality medication for Maldives and will further strengthen the system in providing medication, said StatePharma.
"This will further strengthen the company among international suppliers and Maldives' medicine supply chain stages. This is also significant progress in the company's efforts in providing basic medication to citizens with ease and introducing quality pharmaceutical creations to the Maldivian market," StatePharma said.
HPL was created in Bangladesh 30 years ago and has been certified by international pharmaceutical regulatory administrations. This includes places such as Europe, Australia and Malaysia.
The company currently exports to more than 32 countries.
StatePharma is conducting efforts to solve the medication crisis in Maldives. StatePharma held discussions with European pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca last week.
