The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to appoint three individuals as Criminal Court judges.
The JSC announced the three vacant positions on 29th July which saw 29 applicants.
Sources state the JSC has decided to appoint:
- Ahmed Thaufeeq, HA. Dhidhdhoo, Daisymaage
- Sulaiman Mohamed, Lh. Kurendhoo, Nooraaneege
- Mohamed Abdulla, Th. Veymandhoo, Dream
While the Criminal Court has decided to appoint three individuals, the JSC also announced three vacant judges positions in the Civil Court, with 42 individuals submitting their applications.
However, information regarding the appointees are not clear as of yet.
