Four people have been arrested with drugs in two operations conducted by police in HDh. Kulhudhuffushi.

Police stated today that four people were arrested in two drug operations conducted jointly by Counter Narcotics Intelligence and Kulhudhuffushi Police.

Among the two operations, those arrested in the operation conducted yesterday were Mohamed Umeen, 19, Karanfooge, Dhoodigan, Fuvahmulah, and Aishath Ali, 30, Fahivaa, HDh. Kumundhoo. According to the police, both individuals were arrested in connection with a case suspected of possessing, selling, and trafficking drugs.

Police stated that when the two were stopped and searched at the Kulhudhuffushi RTL Ferry Terminal, 27 cellophane packets containing substances suspected to be drugs were found, with a provisional weight of 7.59 grams.

Police stated that when brought to court to determine their remand regarding this matter, Mohamed Umeen was ordered to be remanded for 15 days, and Aishath Ali for seven days.

Those arrested in an additional operation conducted in Kulhudhuffushi last Wednesday were Hussain Naeem, 44, Uraha, of that island, and Abdul Rahman Mohamed, 45, Bandarahiyaa 002P, of that island.

According to the police, both individuals were arrested in connection with a case suspected of using, possessing, selling, and trafficking drugs.

Police stated that when they were stopped and searched at the Kulhudhuffushi harbor area, 30 cellophane packets containing substances suspected to be drugs were found, with a provisional weight of 9.71 grams.

Police stated that when brought to court to determine their remand regarding this matter, both individuals were ordered to be remanded for five days.
