The number of people seeking services at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) is increasing daily, reflecting growing public confidence in the hospital, according to Male' City Group of Hospitals CEO Ibrahim Haleem.

Speaking to Mihaaru News, Haleem said the rise in demand for services at the government’s main hospital is one of the indicators that public trust in the facility is improving.

He highlighted the increasing number of surgeries, neurology and cardiac services, pediatric treatments and hospital deliveries as examples of areas where demand has grown.

"There will always be a pediatrician in the children's emergency room. A large number of children are coming in with various illnesses. I also receive many calls from people in the atolls asking to speed up appointments because they are unable to get one. This shows that demand is increasing day by day," Haleem said in an interview on Sunday.

Haleem said there was no doubt about the quality of treatment being provided by IGMH.

"I believe without a doubt that the healthcare provided by IGMH, Dharumavantha Hospital and the Male' City Group of Hospitals is the most comprehensive and the best in the Maldives," he said.
