Fenaka Corporation has become the third state-owned enterprise (SOE) to meet the threshold for proactively disclosing information under the Right to Information Act, Information Commissioner Ahid Rasheed said on Thursday.
In a post on X, Ahid said Fenaka had disclosed a significant amount of information but stressed that the work has not ended here.
He said the company must also ensure that individual requests for information are answered promptly.
Fenaka said reaching the threshold for proactive disclosure would strengthen the company's operations and reduce opportunities for corruption.
"This is a major step forward in the efforts of the new management to conduct the company in a transparent manner," the company said in a post on X.
Fenaka's disclosure of information has increased significantly since Managing Director Mohamed Afeef took office, as the company has sought to improve its operations and reduce costs.
