The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development has opened the submission window for the Engineers' Award.
As per a statement from the ministry, government agencies, state-owned enterprises, engineering companies and firms, contractors, consultants, project teams and research teams can submit their names for the award.
If the requirements are met, names can be submitted by sending an email to awards@infrastructure.gov.mv.
The deadline for the submission is 20th August.

- Young Engineer Award
- Engineering Innovation, Technology, Education and Research Award
- Sustainability Champion Award
- Engineering Consult / Consultancy Firm of the Year Award
- Student Innovator Award
- Community Impact Award
- Contractor of the Year Award
- Women in Engineering Award
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu made the announcement last year on 15th June that a National Engineers' Day would be celebrated in Maldives.
The President made the decision to name 30th August of every year as National Engineers' Day in order to recognize Maldivian engineers and their service to the country with an award.
