President Dr Mohamed Muizzu last night pledged to reclaim two more hectares of land in AA. Ukulhas, adding on to the now reclaimed area dedicated for housing units and residential land plots. 

Speaking a rally of ruling People's National Congress (PNC) held in Ukulhas last night, President Muizzu stated that he had met and deliberated with Ukulhas Council yesterday about various development projects necessary for the island, including housing concerns. 

"I spoke in detail about things needed for the development of this island. Housing concerns. There are things that still need to be done in the reclaimed area, like leveling and such. And there is also a need for some more land, so I said I will add on about two more hectares of land," the President said. 

The President stressed that despite economic challenges, work is proceeding on fulfilling his pledges. He said that the island's councilors had shared how such projects were benefiting residents.

During his visit to Ukulhas, the President has inaugurated several projects.
