Customs has seized a man who attempted to smuggle in a large quantity of drugs through swallowing it. 

The individual was arrested on July 19 at Velana International Airport, according to Customs. 

The person attempted to smuggle in drugs which he had swallowed. The seized drugs reportedly had a weight of 1,180g and was found to be cocaine, with a street price of over MVR 2.9 million. 

The identity of the suspect has not yet been disclosed by either Customs or Police.
