President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have visited AA. Ukulhas to attend the SIDS-SAIs Symposium 2026 as Guests of Honour. 

On arrival in Ukulhas, the President and First Lady were welcomed at the harbour by a large crowd of Ukulhas residents and symposium attendees. 

SIDS-SAIs Symposium 2026 is a three-day international conference for Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) from Small Island Developing States (SIDS) organized by the Auditor General's Office of the Maldives in collaboration with UNDESA. It is being held in Ukulhas this year, with delegates from 26 countries attending. 

President Muizzu will be sharing remarks at the symposium today. 

The symposium focuses on discussions around auditing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate change oversight, digital audit systems and collaboration between SIDS on strengthening audit systems.
