Ahmed Mamdhooh has been appointed as the Vice President of the Employment Tribunal.

Mamdhooh took the oath to office during a ceremony held at the President's Office this morning. The letter of appointment was presented by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

Ahmed Mamdhooh received a Bachelor of Business Administration at Sri Lanka's University of Kelaniya. He has previously served as the Deputy Economic Minister, the Deputy Managing Director of the Maldives Road Development Corporation (RDC) and as the Acting Managing Director at RDC as well.

His most recent position was serving as a project consultant for Male' City Council.

The Vice President seat at the Employment Tribunal was vacated on 15th April 2024 when Fathimath Maheera Mohamed was relieved from the position.

Vice President of the Employment Tribunal Maheera was relieved from the position as Amjadh Musthafa was appointed as the President of the Employment Tribunal.

Amjadh was appointed as the president as the former president of the Employment Tribunal Ishag Hussain had resigned from his position. Both Ishag and Maheera were initially appointed to their positions on the same day.
