STELCO has decided to hold a drawing competition in celebration of National Engineers' Day, which is on 30th August.
The company decided to hold the competition to show the efforts of engineers and the company's interest toward it.
Categories for submission:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Renewable Energy Engineering
- Water and Sewerage Engineering
The competition has been opened to children aged between 5 years old and 16 years old, with registration having opened yesterday and will close on 15th August.
The competition is open to the public and will be split into two age groups. They are between 5 years old and 10 years old, and between 11 years old and 16 years old.
Placement prizes
- 1st place drawing: MVR 2,500
- 2nd place drawing: MVR 1,500
- 3rd place drawing: MVR 1,000
- Drawings from 4th place to 10th place: MVR 500 each
STELCO said the original drawing is to be submitted to the information counter at their head office located at Ameenee Magu. The drawings are to be on A3 sized paper and should include the child's name, ID card copy, current address and contact number, as was requested by STELCO.

The first place drawing will be chosen as the backdrop for STELCO's Engineers' Day celebration.
