The Fuvahmulah City Council has announced that they are seeking a party to operate a water and other beverages factory in the city.
An announcement made by the council on Sunday states that the project is being conducted under the Local Authority company under the council's oversight.
The announcement said that they are seeking investors, producers, companies and consortiums to operate a factory producing water and non-alcoholic drinks under a design, build, finance and operate policy.
The council invited parties with relevant experience, operational capabilities and financial means to submit proposals in line with the Expression of Interest (EOI) document attached with the announcement.
As per the EOI, the proposals can be submitted to run the project separately, or as a consortium. If the proposal is for a consortium, then a lead member must be determined. Each member must submit legal documentation, and details on how they meet the criteria.
A new company formed specifically for this project can also submit proposals, provided they are sponsored by the parent company or consortium, whose legal and financial capabilities must be proven, along with an agreement to provide necessary assistance to the new company.
Completed EOIs are to be submitted before 11:59pm on August 20 via email to lac@fuvahmulah.gov.mv, the announcement said.
