Maldivian students have been invited to apply for scholarship opportunities in India, Egypt, Pakistan, Thailand and Morocco.

Applications for all scholarships can be submitted through the Higher Education Ministry's Kuri portal.

In India, Marwadi University in Gujarat is offering scholarships under its Scholarship India 2026 programme for diploma, bachelor's, master's and PhD programmes. The application deadline is 31 July.

Egypt's Al-Azhar University has opened 22 scholarships, including five in Sharia and Law and 17 in Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics. Applications close on 6 August.

The Pakistan High Commission is accepting applications for scholarships at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in seven fields: engineering and technology, business and economics, food security and international relations, computer science and technology, allied health sciences, media and languages, and agriculture and social sciences. The deadline is 10 August.

Morocco has offered 20 scholarships, comprising 10 for bachelor's degrees, five for master's degrees and five for PhD programmes. Applications close on 30 July.

Scholarship opportunities are also available for master's degree programmes in Thailand, with applications remaining open until August.

Applicants are required to submit copies of their academic certificates and transcripts, a good conduct certificate from their most recent educational institution, and a medical report including HIV, AIDS and tuberculosis (TB) test results.
