Ten individuals have applied for the post of Chief Judicial Administrator.
Vacancy for the position, the highest in the judicial administrative sector, was announced by the Judicial Service Commission with the deadline set for last Sunday. The commission said that they received a total of ten applications.
Applicants include former Deputy Minister of Fisheries Shafeega Naeem, former Civil Court Judge Mariyam Nihaayath and former head of MMA's Financial Intelligence Unit Ismail Sajidh.
Other applicants to the post are:

- Adam Shameem, Malaaz, Dh. Maaem'boodhoo
- Aminath Nashmy Fazeel, M. Zeyvaru
- Aishath Hikma, Asrafee Villa, S. Hithadhoo
- Mohamed Niyaz, Nightrose, M. Raiymandhoo
- Mariyam Shahana, M. Medhuriya
The position became vacant following the resignation of former Judicial Administrator Amjadh Musthafa. Amjadh was appointed President of the Employment Tribunal earlier today.
