Amjadh Musthafa, who recently resigned from his position as Chief Judicial Administrator, has been appointed as the President of the Employment Tribunal, a position he held in the past.

The appointment ceremony was held at the President's Office, with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu presenting Amjadh the letter of employment. He was sworn in by Supreme Court Judge Abdulla Hameed.

Amjadh resigned from his 4-month position as the President of the Employment Tribunal in 2020 after stating that there was no work environment for him to carry out his obligations in a responsible manner.

Amjadh previously held positions as the Vice President of the Elections Commission and as a member of the Minimum Wage Advisory Board.

Amjadh, who got his first degree in the legal industry and has a Business Administration Masters, recently held the position of Chief Judicial Administrator. Nevertheless, he resigned from that position in April.

The Employment Tribunal has a total of 9 members, along with its President.
