Four students who achieved first place globally in individual A-level subjects and seven recipients of the President's Scholarship were honored at the National Top Achievers Awards ceremony held at the Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Hulhumale'.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu presented the awards, scholarships and certificates during the ceremony.
The Outstanding Learners Awards were presented to four students who achieved first place in the world in individual Cambridge International A-level subjects:
- Ali Maiz Mufeed (CHSE) – Economics
- Leen Ahmed Thoriq (CHSE) – Business
- Iba Ahmed Ali (Gnaviyani Atoll Education Centre) – Chemistry
- Nishya Waheed (CHSE) – Business
The students also achieved the highest marks in the Maldives in their respective subjects.
Seven students received the President's Scholarship after obtaining A* grades in five A-level subjects in last year's examinations. The recipients are:
- Aishath Nabeeha Ameen (CHSE)
- Ali Maiz Mufeed (CHSE)
- Yasha Shaafee Shafeeq (CHSE)
- Leen Ahmed Thoriq (CHSE)
- Aishath Leen Abdulla (Gnaviyani Atoll Education Centre)
- Hussain Yameen (Villa International High School)
- Lail Hussain Hameed (Arabiyya School)
President Muizzu also presented awards and certificates to 23 students who secured first place nationally in individual A-level subjects.
The National Top Achievers Awards were held over two days in five sessions, recognising more than 1,400 students who placed among the top 10 performers in O-level and A-level examinations.
