Galolhu Uthuru MP Mohamed Ibrahim (Kudu) has launched a website through which the public can easily track his work in parliament.

The website, galolhu-uthuru.com, was officially launched by Maldivian Democratic Party Chairperson, former President Mohamed Nasheed, at a ceremony held last night.

MP Ibrahim said today that he had created the website because he believes that the public must have access to details of his work in parliament in public interest.

"I believe that the public must know all we do. I made this website because I believe this is imperative to do in my capacity as an MP," Ibrahim said.

Data available on MP Ibrahim's website indicates that he has undertaken a total of 560 official work as of now. This includes 110 proposals, 166 letters and complaints, 46 emergency motions, 24 amendments and 7 petitions.

Also included are 94 requests for information, 97 questions to ministers, and 16 questions seeking written responses.

The website also links to mainstream media coverage of his work as well as his own writings.

Constituents and the public are also provided an avenue through which they can send comments directly to the MP, while his phone number and email address are also displayed to facilitate direct direct access.
