Due to an increase in parking on the pavements of Hulhumale' and the complaints that come with it, the police have urged the public to stop doing so.

The police stated they are seeing an increase in vehicles being parked on the pavements of Hulhumale'. And so, they urged not to park vehicles in such places.

The issue of vehicles being parked on Hulhumale's pavements and both sides of the road causing difficulties in transport is on the rise. It has become common for vehicles to be driven and parked on the roads in between the flats specifically made for people to walk on.

Even though the police sometimes tow the parked vehicles that cause difficulties for those who walk and use the road, complaints have been increasing due to a proper solution having not been found.

According to the Land Transport Act, aside from baby strollers and any wheeled implement used by people with disabilities, no other type of vehicle may be ridden or parked on pavements.
