Mohamed Firuzul Abdulla Khaleel has been appointed as Board Member and Managing Director of Maldives Hajj Corporation Limited. 

Firuzul's appointment follows the recent resignation of former MD Mohamed Shakeel. Shakeel resigned from the post after his name was sent to parliament for appointment as a member of the Elections Commission. Yesterday, Shakeel was appointed President of the Elections Commission. 

Prior to his appointment as MD at Hajj Corporation, Firuzul served as Public Policy Undersecretary at the President's Office. 

During the transitional period after President Dr Mohamed Muizzu was elected to office, Firuzul served as Spokesperson of the President-elect's Office.
