The Cabinet decided today to establish a special unit in each ministry and take additional measures to expedite the government's development projects.

The President's Office stated that the Cabinet decided today to implement special measures with the aim of strengthening the services provided to the public by the government and completing projects within specified deadlines.

To achieve this objective, the Cabinet has decided to update the 'Dhuveli' portal, used to coordinate all government projects and activities, and the Ministry of Finance's Public Investment Management Systems (PIMS) portal by the end of this week, and to continue updating them in real-time moving forward, the President's Office noted.

Furthermore, the President's Office said that the Cabinet decided to form a special team within the Ministry of Finance to identify challenges faced in carrying out projects, in addition to establishing a special unit in each ministry to monitor the progress of projects.

According to the President's Office, it has also been decided to undertake special efforts alongside the Ministry of Finance and the companies contracted for projects managed under the Ministry of Housing, in order to ensure those projects are completed by their designated dates.

Housing is the biggest pledge of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. During a press conference held today, the President stated that the physical work for this government's housing projects, for which foundations have already been laid, will begin within this year.

The President has also stated that the list of individuals eligible for land plots and flats from among those who submitted forms for this government's housing scheme will be made public before the end of this year.
