With the ongoing World Cup, the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fitness has announced that there will be special activities held for children on Friday evening at the Youth Hub.

The ministry said that the "Gaming Carnival" will be an activity that will be held every Friday until the World Cup ends, and is an activity related to the World Cup as well.

The carnival will take place every Friday from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at the Youth Hub located on Lily Magu until the World Cup ends, said the ministry.

"This activity will have various activities children and the public can take part in free of charge," as was told by an official from the ministry.

The official went on to say that the Gaming Carnival is a part of the World Cup "Watch Series" currently being held at the Youth Hub, with famous football players set to participate as well.

The watch party held at the Youth Hub, capable of accommodating 250 people, will allow families and children to celebrate in a safe environment, the ministry said.

Along with matches being shown, the ministry stated that there will be stalls with free food and drinks, and a lucky draw with prizes.

The prizes include an official World Cup football and a free one-month membership to Youth by Gymnasia.

The Youth Ministry said the main purpose of this activity is to foster national unity with sports as a medium, and to establish a beneficial environment to the youth and to society.
