Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has stated that they have put the 16 year old child who fell from an Aman Dhoadhi flat last night on a ventilator.

It has been reported that a 16 year old boy fell from the second storey of the fifth Aman Dhoadhi flat. According to the police, they received a report of the incident at 11:15pm last night.

The child was initially treated at Hulhumale' Hospital but was sent to IGMH for additional medical treatment.

An IGMH media official told Mihaaru News that the child is currently being treated at the ICU and is on a ventilator. No details regarding the injuries sustained were given.

Hulhumale' Hospital stated that the child was brought to the hospital with the aid of the police at 11:25pm and at the time, the child was able to speak and their vitals were stable. The hospital said that the child was bleeding from the neck, causing difficulties in speaking. The hospital also said that the child was bleeding from the nose and ears, and that his jaw was broken.

As per the hospital, the bone in his thigh was broken, his knee was swollen and bones in his face were broken as well. A brain CT scan was conducted, with no signs of internal bleeding, as per the hospital.

They stated that the child was released to be sent to IGMH from the Hulhumale' Hospital at 3:40am.

It is unclear how the incident occurred. Police said that they are looking into the matter.
