Two people were injured in an assault that took place tonight at Farukolhufushi, which has now been reclaimed and designated as a part of Hulhumale'.

Police stated that a case involving an assault on the reclaimed land of Farukolhufushi in Hulhumale' 2 was reported today around 6:30 PM.

While two people injured in the assault are currently receiving treatment at Hulhumale' Hospital, Police cited the hospital stating that their conditions are not serious.

The individuals injured in the assault are a 21-year-old male and a 34-year-old male.

Police stated that no one has been arrested yet in connection with the assault. However, Police said that the matter is being investigated.

It has been learned that one of the individuals injured in the assault is Ismail Abdul Raheem (Isu), a Deputy Director of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
