Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has granted permission temporarily to allow vessels to dock at jetty area near Barceló Nasandhura for passenger embarkation and disembarkation. 

As the area from Nasandhura on Boduthakurufaanu Magu until the Izzuddin Jetty is closed off for road upgrades, use of the lagoon in that area has been prohibited.

However, an announcement from MTCC that was published yesterday reads that they are granting temporary permission to allow passenger embarkation and disembarkation via vessels at the jetty in front of Nasandhura.

Nevertheless, land-based transport vehicles are not allowed on the road in said area, with the area being generally closed off.

The company has requested the public to comply with their staff when making use of the area and to contact 1650 for additional information.

Regarding the ongoing repair work on Boduthakurufaanu Magu, traffic flow in the area has seen changes as well.

From the intersection at Boduthakurufaanu Magu and Chaandhanee Magu, to the corner of the intersection of Orchid Magu and Ameer Ahmed Magu has been turned into a two-way street.
