Former Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage, Adam Naseer Ibrahim has been appointed as Special Advisor on Dhivehi Language and Nationalism at the President's Office. 

Adam Naseer was amongst the ten cabinet ministers who abruptly resigned last April. 

Chief Government Spokesperson Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu) stated today that Adam Naseer has now commenced service as Special Advisor. He added that further information regarding the post will be shared soon. 

Besides Adam Naseer, several other cabinet ministers who resigned alongside him have since been appointed to various State positions. 

As such, former Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has been appointed Principal Secretary to the President on Policy and Manifesto.

Former Local Government Minister Adam Shareef Umar has been appointed Maldivian Ambassador to Qatar, while former Tourism Minister Thoriq Ibrahim has been appointed Maldivian Ambassador to UAE.
