Hassan Zareer has been appointed as Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises today. 

Zareer was previously serving as Tax Commissioner. 

Zareer has been appointed to the post following the resignation today of Moosa Zameer, who had served as Finance Minister since September 30, 2024. 

Zareer was appointed as Finance Minister at a special ceremony held at the President's Office this afternoon. 

According to Zameer's resignation letter, he decided to step down due to health reasons.
