Police have seized drugs that were attempted to be smuggled into K. Maafushi Prison using a drone.

The police stated today that these items were seized during an operation conducted last Saturday night, close to 1:00 AM.

The police noted that the operation was carried out jointly by Maafushi Prison, Maafushi Police Station, and Counter Narcotics Intelligence.

However, no individuals were arrested during this operation.

The police said that five rubber packets containing substances suspected to be drugs were found and taken into police custody during the operation.

The preliminary weight of these items is 395.92 grams, according to the police.

Police stated that this case is currently under investigation.
