Eid prayers in large congregations are to be held at 4 locations, as well as 25 mosques, in the Male' area, the Islamic Ministry has announced. 

The ministry said that on Eid Al-Adha, which falls on Wednesday this week, large-congregation Eid prayers will be held at the Maafannu Stadium in Male', football grounds in Vilimale', synthetic track in Hulhumale' Phase 1 and in the empty land plot adjacent to the Masjid Hassan Adam, Nirolhu Magu, Heenama Hin'gun, Feyrugas Magu and Dhuburigas Magu in Hulhumale' Phase 2. 

In the instance that prayers at these locations need to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, eid prayers will be held instead at all mosques which conduct Friday prayers, the ministry said. 

Arrangements to accommodate female worshipers will also be made at all locations, similar to previous years. 

Eid prayers will commence at 7am on Wednesday.
