The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) opened up a park last night in Hulhumale'. The park includes fields and courts specific to various sports.

HDC stated that the "N1 Sports Park" that was built in Hulhumale' Phase 1 was inaugurated last night.

The park was opened on the land adjacent to the Fiyavathi Orphanage.

During the opening ceremony of the park, a "kick-off" match took place, with HDC's Managing Director Ali Zuhair and Hulhumale' Community Representative Ibrahim Naeem inaugurating the park.

HDC said that the sports park was opened as part of the governments plan to increase and offer sports facilities and the societal well-being of the residents of Hulhumale'.

The park includes a futsal court, volleyball court, a half-court for basketball and a parking zone, with it being officially opened to the public.

HDC went on to say that they are currently working on establishing outdoor gyms and other sports facilities as part of their prioritization towards societal well-being. The Kulhivaru Ekuveni sports complex has also been inaugurated by the HDC in Hulhumale' Phase 2, which includes various fields and courts for sports.
