The Department of Public Examinations (DPE) has announced that the results of the January O/L examination will be released today.

Results for the SSC and Cambridge IGCSE examinations will be available from 12:00 pm.

Students collecting results in person must present their national ID card. If someone is collecting on behalf of a student, both the student’s ID card and the collector’s ID must be provided.

A total of 8,218 students from 267 examination centres sat for this year’s SSC and Cambridge IGCSE exams. Of these, 21 centres were in Male', while 246 were in the atolls.

Under the revised requirements, students are now required to sit compulsory subjects at O Level, including Islam, Dhivehi, English and Mathematics, with government support covering examination fees.

Officials say Maldivian students have been performing strongly in O Level and A Level examinations in recent years, with increasing numbers achieving top rankings internationally.
