Iskandhar School is celebrating its 65th anniversary with a photo exhibition showcasing the school’s history and achievements over the decades.

Originally established as Hameedhiyya Montessori School, the institution opened its doors to formal education on 10 May 1961.

To commemorate the milestone, the school launched a special exhibition on Sunday featuring photographs documenting key moments, achievements and memorable events since its founding.

School officials said the exhibition also includes photographs of former students from different generations, offering visitors a chance to revisit memories from the school’s past.

“There are thousands of photos,” a school official said.

The exhibition is being held in the school hall and will remain open until 6pm on Tuesday.

A special assembly was also held Sunday to mark the anniversary celebrations.

During the event, awards were presented to talented students and long-serving staff members who have worked at the school for more than 15 years.

Iskandhar School currently offers education from grades one to 10 and has a student population of around 2,000.
