Lawyer and brother of former President Mohamed Nasheed, Nazim Abdul Sattar has been injured after being attacked with a sharp weapon last night. 

Police stated today that that a 49 year old male was taken to ADK Hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries in an assault with a sharp object. Police said the hospital reported the incident last night. 

Police have yet to release the identity of the injured, or details of the injuries sustained. However, unconfirmed reports indicate that the victim is Nazim Sattar.
