As the condition of one of the two brothers who got electrocuted in F. Feeali has worsened, he is being transferred to capital Male' for further treatment. 

The two brothers had been cleaning the roof of their residence yesterday to collect rainwater. While they had been climbing down afterwards, they touched a nearby lamp post and got electrocuted. The shock caused both to fall to the ground from the height of the roof, sustaining injuries. 

The brothers, aged 27 and 23, were initially treated at the island's health centre. However, they were transferred to the F. Nilandhoo Hospital for further treatment yesterday afternoon. 

An official from the Nilandhoo Hospital said that the condition of one of the brothers had later become serious, requiring treatment in the Intensive Care Unit. His blood pressure continues to drop, and doctors decided that he be transferred to Male' for additional medical attention, he said. 

"The other individual's condition is stable. He will be discharged after around two more days of observation," the official said.
