Mohamed Hussain Maniku, who has spent many years in the service of the state and held several senior government positions, retired from service today.
In a post regarding the retirement of Maniku, who currently serves as the CEO of the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA), the authority expressed gratitude for his contributions to the economic and national development of the Maldives.
It further noted that under his leadership, the capital market flourished, and the authority's role in creating a transparent and robust financial sector was further strengthened.
Maniku was appointed as the CEO of CMDA in January 2021.
Having previously worked at the Ministry of Finance and the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), Maniku also served as the Managing Director of STO during the administration of former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, and later served as the Maldivian Ambassador to the United States.
Maniku was also the very first CEO of the Pension Office, which was established 17 years ago. He held that position for many years.
