Dr Althaf Adnan Ismail has become the first Maldivian doctor to complete a General Surgery fellowship in breast cancer diseases. 

Hulhumale' Hospital announced in a social media post today that Dr Althaf has joined their team. 

"Her expertise and dedication will undoubtedly enhance the quality of care we provide to our community," the post reads. 

Dr Althaf began her medical career in 2015 at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital. She later specialized in surgery in Nepal and went on to serve at HDh. Kulhudhuffushi Hospital in 2020 and Hulhumale' Hospital in 2021. 

Dr Althaf completed her sub-specialty training in India.
