President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will undertake a state visit to Sri Lanka from 3 to 6 May at the invitation of Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
During the visit, President Muizzu is expected to meet senior Sri Lankan officials and hold bilateral talks with President Dissanayake aimed at strengthening ties between the two countries.
Both leaders are also scheduled to witness the exchange of several memoranda of understanding covering multiple sectors.
President Muizzu will be accompanied by First Lady Sajidha Mohamed, along with cabinet ministers and senior government officials.
The visit follows President Dissanayake’s trip to Maldives in July last year, which coincided with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
President’s Office said the visit reflects the Maldives’ continued commitment to deepening relations with key regional partners.
