The man who was in critical condition after falling from a coconut palm in HDh. Kulhudhuffushi has passed away today.

The deceased has been identified as Hussain Shifaz, 36, of Kaamineege, HDh. Neykurendhoo, who sustained severe injuries while climbing a palm to clean it. Following his funeral prayers after the Asr prayer today, he was buried at the Aa-Sahara cemetery in Malé.

The accident occurred on the 16th of April, and for the past two weeks, he had been receiving treatment on a ventilator. He was transferred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Malé just three days ago for further specialized care.

Reports indicate that Shifaz fell from a coconut palm approximately sixty feet tall while working to clean trees located on the eastern side of the Kulhudhuffushi "Hirafus" grounds.
