Police entered the office of the news outlet "Adhadhu" a short while ago and began a search in connection with a documentary titled "Aisha" produced by the outlet.

During a press briefing today, when asked about the documentary, which levels serious allegations against President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the President denied all accusations made in it.

Adhadhu stated that the police entry and search of their office regarding the documentary, which was released last March, is being conducted under a court order. Police are currently inspecting various electronic equipment used by the news outlet and are seizing items such as storage devices for investigative purposes.

The police have not yet released an official statement on the matter.

Police personnel are active both inside and outside the building where the Adhadhu office is located.

Adhadhu had previously mentioned that the Maldives Media Commission is also looking into the issue of the documentary.

In a press conference held this morning, President Muizzu explicitly denied all claims within the documentary and stated that he would request the relevant authorities to take legal action against all parties involved in its production.
